An Ennis Circuit Court Judge has recommended that over 200 people who have failed to turn up for jury service be prosecuted.
Judge Leoni Reynolds made the recommendations after only 35 of the 250 jury panel turned up at Ennis Court House yesterday forcing the cancellation of the week long criminal sittings.
The court was only able to impanel 10 of the 12 people required for a jury before running out of jurors.
Judge Reynolds adjourned all remaining matters on the criminal list until the 21st of March when a fresh jury panel is set to attend.
If convicted a no show jury person faces a fine of up to 500 euro.
