The first of County Clare’s St Patrick’s day parades takes place today.
Five days ahead of La na Feile Padraig – the people of Lisdoonvarna will take to the streets to celebrate our national holiday today with the local pardae starting at 2pm.
A number of other communities are also getting a head start on the festivities with parades in Fanore and Sixmilebrdige tomorrow (sun) while most towns and villages are keeping it traditional with parades planned for Thursday.
