People across Clare are being urged to don their walking shoes in aid of suicide charity Pieta House.
Its annual Darkness into the Light Fundraising event is taking place on the 7th of May at six locations nationwide including Ennis, Limerick and Galway.
Participants gather at the locations at 4 am on the morning ,while it is still dark and finish the 5km course as the first light brightens the sky.
This symbolic event is open to people of all ages to walk run or jog and families with buggies or dogs are also welcome.
Funds raised go to Pieta House, the Suicide Crisis Centre which has helped 4,000 people since it was established by psychologist Joan Freeman in 2006.
