3 Irish writers up for Impac Award

Three Irish authors have been short-listed for the world’s richest literary prize.

Colum McCann, Colm Toibin and William Trevor have made it on to the final ten for the 100,000 euro International Impac Dublin award selected by libraries worldwide.

McCann was nominated for his novel "Let the Great World Spin".

Toibin was short-listed for Brooklyn – the tale of a young woman leaving Enniscorthy for America.

While, William Trevor gets the nod for  "Love and Summer".

The winner will be announced on the 15th of June.
