It appears the recession has taken it’s toll on the summer holiday plans this year.
An online poll carried out on the clare.fm website reveals almost half of those surveyed said they can’t afford to go on holidays.
Of the 51 % who indicated they will be taking a summer break – 26% said they’d be opting for a staycation here in Ireland, with just under a quarter of the total poll opting for foreign travel this year.
