Clare woman elected Regional President of ICA

A North Clare Woman has been elected as the new Regional President of the Irish Countywomen’s Association.

Aloma McKay of the Ennistymon Guild Clare Federation secured the position during the ICA’s elections yesterday and will hold the term of office for three years.

The ICA says 89 percent of its total members turned out to vote in their new regional and national officers and its the first time in 102 years that elections for all of its senior positions were held.
