Ireland’s bailout troika is due to return to Dublin this week, for their latest review of progress on our reform programme.

Officials from the International Monetary Fund, the European Union and the European Central Bank will be spending several days working at the Department of Finance.

According to the Irish Times, officials have concerns about how much the government’s saving through the terms of the deal.

Meanwhile, 8 Fine Gael TDs want the government to take another look at how high earners are covered by the Croke Park Agreement.

Outlining their concerns in today’s Irish Examiner, the group says ‘protecting core pay does not mean protecting pay increases and unnecessary allowances for those on higher salaries’.
