More than 70 per cent of people believe child benefit payments should be means tested.
That’s one of the findings of an Ipsos/MRBI poll in today’s Irish Times.
The survey also shows there’s still strong opposition to planned measures like a property tax and water charges.
66 per cent of people said the property tax, due to come in next year, is a bad idea, while 60 per cent were against having to pay for their water.
