Clare TD critical of Dept of education over lack of recongition for schools

The Department of Education has been accused of halting the development of Clare’s two steiner national schools, by not granting them permanent recognition.

Minister Ruairi Quinn has been asked to grant permanent status to Mol an Oige Primary School in Ennistymon and Raheen Wood School in Tuamgraney – currently both schools have temporary recognition.

Steiner schools apply a holistic approach to education, emphasizing the importance of the spoken word and encouraging creativity.
