A flight from Kerry to Dublin was diverted to Shannon Airport this morning after developing technical difficulties shortly after take-off.

The Aer Lingus Regional flight landed normally in Shannon and all on board are safe and well.

Flight EI 3201 departed Kerry at 9am but suffered an engine problem early on in the flight.

It landed in Shannon at 9.25am with eight passengers and three crew members on board.

Arrangements are now being made to provide alternative transport for the passengers to Dublin.
