The number of Clare home-owners who have paid the household charge is nearly the 70 percent mark.
New figures have been released as Clare County Council issue a fresh raft of reminder letters, specifically targeting those who have so far failed to settle up.
The householders who are eligible have been identified by the Local Government Management Agency – based on information from the Property Registration Authority.
To date 69% of householders in Clare have paid the charge, which was introduced by the Government in budget 20 12
