President Michael D Higgins and head of the Gaa Liam O Neill were among the distinguished guests at todays opening of the new home of Clare camogie-Fr Mc Namara Park.
The facilty in Doora which has been over 20 years in the planning is named in honour of the late Chairman of both the Gaa and camogie boards in Clare
The first game played at the pitch was a shinty/camogie international with the Irish side made up of Clare club players froma cross the county
