The number of drink driving arrests in Clare were up over the Bank Holiday weekend.
Gardai arrested 10 motorists on suspicion of driving under the influence of alcohol between Friday and Monday – that’s up three on figures for last year.
The number of traffic accidents were down over the weekend though, as gardai dealt with what were described as two – non-serious incidents and 13 material damage road traffic accidents.
