The number of new cars sold in Clare last month fell by a third, despite a growth in the national figures.
While a six percent rise was recorded nationally, the 16 new registrations were recorded in Clare shows a drop from last year’s figure of 24.
As of the end of last month, the number of new cars sold in Clare this year stands at 1561.
This 24% drop on last year’s figure is the biggest of any county in Ireland.
