There’s an early message to shop local this Christmas, as Ennis Town Council announces a number of initiatives to boost local trade.
There’ll be free parking in the town up until 12 noon each day from December 6th to January 13th, while Cloughleigh Car-Park will be Free all day throughout that period.
The council is also offering low cost parking in the long stay car park at Glor, and encouraging staff and business owners in town centre shops to keep parking spaces free for shoppers heading for Ennis.
Pedestrianisation will also be in place, though on a more limited basis than in previous years, with car free shopping on offer only along O’Connell Street between 12 and 6 on December 15th, 22nd, 23rd and and Christmas Eve.
