Tourism Ireland says it will target North America and Mainland Europe next year, in a bid to attract 7.6 million visitors.
It’s launched a new three year plan to increase visitor numbers from the US by 20 per cent.
And it says Mainland Europe offers us more holiday makers and revenue than Britain.
Chief Executive Niall Gibbons says they haven’t forgotten about British tourists though – as it is traditionally a very important market for Ireland.
