Clare businesses hoping for some relief in the upcoming council budgets are being invited to a meeting in Shannon this evening.
Business representatives are due to make a presentation to Clare County Council next week, so ahead of that, organisers are asking local traders and companies to make their views known on commercial rates and council charges.
This evening’s meeting takes place in the Oakwood Arms Hotel in Shannon at 7pm, and has been organised by local petrol station owner Darragh O’Connor.
He says struggling businesses are hoping for cuts in local rates this month.
