New CSO figures show the number of people signing on across County Clare increased by over a hundred last month.
Ennistymon was the worst affected area with an extra 82 people seeking some form of unemployment benefit in November, followed closely by Kilrush.
Figures for Tulla also rose but only by 6 when the numbers in Ennis actually fell, with 19 fewer on the dole queues in Clare’s County Town.
Overall there are currently 9732 people on the Live Register here and CEO of Ennis Chamber of Commerce Rita McInerney believes Wednesday budget was a missed opportunity by government to tackle those numbers
