ESb crews work to restore electricity across Clare after stromy night

Esb repair crews are currently dealing with a major  fault on the sytem in the Spancihill/Crusheen/Barefield area which has left houses without power since early this morning.

Crews are currently dealing with the problem but electricity is not expected to be back in the area until after lunchtime.

The Esb reported 4 major faults across the county due to the severe weather overnight with outages in the Ennis area on the Tulla Road, Tobertascain and at Lifford where the lights at Club bridge were out of order this morming.

Power is expected to be restored  in these areas shortly

Gardai are also warning motorists to be wary of debris on roads across the county today following last night’s storm.
