The British Union flag will be raised over Belfast City Hall today for the first time since a council decision not to fly it every day sparked protests.
It will be visible at City Hall to mark the birthday of the Duchess of Cambridge Kate Middleton.
Calm has been restored again to east Belfast after a sixth consecutive night of disorder about the flying of the Union Flag.
