Nursing staff at Limerick Regional are reporting the longest queues of any hospital in Ireland today with a total of 39 patients awaiting admission to a bed.

Daily figures from the Irish Nurses and Midwives Organisation show there are currently 27 people on trolleys in the Accident and Emergency Department and a further 12 on the wards.
Staff in Ennis and Galway are also under pressure this afternoon.
Two patients are reported to be on trolleys at the A&E unit at Clare’s County Hospital, with 23 people in a similar situation at University Hospital Galway – 19 in the emergency department and a further 4 on the wards.
