Students at one East Clare primary school have been honoured for their work to promote road safety.
The 2nd class students of Clooney National School have taken first prize in the ‘Hi Glo Silver’ Awards, an annual event organised by the road safety authority.
The Clare children had made a poster to promote high-visibility clothing, entitled ‘Hi Glo, Hi Glo, It’s Off to School We Go’.
Meelick student Elle O’Mahoney was among the runners-up.
