Two people, including a pregnant woman, have been taken to hospital following a two-car collision on the Kilrush-Kilmihil road last evening.
The accident at Shaughnessy’s Cross on the N68 occurred at around 4:30, and led to the closure of the road for a number of hours.
Gardaí, ambulance services and three units of the Kilrush fire service were called to the scene, and brought to people to hospital.
Gardaí say their injuries are not life threatening.
