Bunratty’s three newest residents are to stay in the picturesque Clare village.
It had been feared that bottle-nosed dolphins, who have been entertaining large crowds in the river alongside Bunratty Castle since Easter, would have to be moved on due to fears that the fresh water would cause them health problems.
However, experts have now surveyed the scene and say they’re content the animals are happy with their new surroundings, and that they are not trapped, as had also been feared.
