Information Sought Following Ennis Stabbing

Ennis Gardai are seeking the public’s help as they continue to investigate a serious stabbing incident in the town last evening.

A 23 year old woman was rushed to Limerick Regional Hospital after she suffered stab wounds to her head, neck and upper body following an altercation on the grounds of the Holy Family primary school at Station Road/Friar’s Walk just after 5:00.

She was subsequently transferred to Cork University Hospital, where she underwent surgery and is now said to be in a serious but stable condition.

Another woman, aged 22, was arrested shortly after the attack and remains in custody at Ennis Garda Station this afternoon.

Gardai want people who were in the area at the time and who noticed anything unusual to contact them in Ennis on 065 6848100.
