Woman To Appear In Court Following Ennis Stabbing

A 22 year old woman is to appear before a special sitting of Ennis District Court this morning, charged in relation to a serious stabbing incident in the town on Saturday.

Gardai are continuing to investigate the attack, which saw a 23 year old woman suffer wounds to her head, neck and upper body following an altercation on the grounds of the Holy Family primary school at Station Road/Friar’s Walk just after 5:00 on Saturday evening.

She’s now in a serious but stable condition at Cork University Hospital.

Another woman, aged 22, was arrested shortly after the attack will appear before Ennis District Court later this morning, facing charges arising out of the incident.
