The Agriculture Minister says he is aware of a fodder crisis in Ireland, and insists he is acting to resolve the problems facing many farmers.

In an interview today, Simon Coveney has stated that he’s hoping to fast-track farmers’ support payments as many struggle to cover the cost of feeding their animals.

He also says a small crisis fund is in place, though Fianna Fail and farmers groups here in Clare have called for a more substantial hardship fund.
