New figures released by the Department of Social Protection have shown that Clare’s dole queue claimants are finding it harder to get work than in most other areas of Ireland.

Minister Joan Burton has told the Dáil that 45 per cent of the people here who are on the dole queues have been claiming some form of unemployment benefit for more than a year.
