Three people were assisted last evening after their cruiser ran aground on Lough Derg.
The Lough Derg RNLI Lifeboat launched to assist the three following a request from Valentia Coast Guard after they got into difficulty close to Terryglass, Co. Tipperary in the Northern end of the lake.
The 38 foot cruiser had run agound in shallow waters, but was not seriously damaged while the three on board – who were all wearing lifejackets- were unharmed during the incident.
