The union representing junior doctors will tomorrow visit hospitals to verify whether doctors are working shifts of more than 24 hours.
The IMO and the HSE are involved in the visits, which were agreed following talks between the parties at the Labour Relations Commission.
Junior doctors are set to mount a one day, national strike next Wednesday in protest against the HSE’s failure to implement an EU working time directive.
