New figures relwased by the CSO for 2011 show seven out of 8 Clare grooms walked down the aisle with brides who also came from Co. Clare.
Out of 410 grooms, only 45 exchanged vows with Irish women from outside the county borders while only 6 married people from outside of Ireland.
