The Fianna Fail leader says he expects that over 130 thousand people could lose their medical cards, after last week’s budget.
Micheal Martin expects a very bleak year in the health sector, as a result of the cutbacks.
The Government announced it has to save 666 million euro in the Department of Health, with 113 million in savings on medical cards.
Deputy Martin says thousands of pensioners will be affected at the outset.
