One of Clare’s longest serving senior intercounty footballers has voiced his concerns about the prospect of a split club and county season.
The GAA Fixtures Calendar Review Task Force is aiming to make a presentation to Central Council at the end of this year on the issue which has divided players and coaches alike.

The stoppage of games earlier this year due to COVID-19 meant that players in both codes were given more time with the clubs for this year’s campaign.
However, St Joseph’s Milltown Malbay club man Gordon Kelly believes any potential split season could be counter productive.
