Protesters opposed to the use of Shannon airport by the US military will demonstrate outside Limerick prison this evening calling for jailed activist Margaretta D’arcy to be freed.
The 79 year old, was sent to prison for 3 months, for refusing to sign a bond which would mean she’d have to stay away from unauthorised zones at Shannon airport.
Ms D’arcy is a member of Shannonwatch, which is calling for the Government to end military use of the Airport.
