The Impact trade union expects Aer Lingus passengers can look forward to a summer of 'industrial peace'.

Two strikes planned for next week at Shannon Dublin and Cork airports were averted yesterday after talks at the Labour Court, which will issue recommendations on the row later today.

It's expected they'll include a proposal for the airline to introduce a new roster put forward by cabin crew on a trial basis.

Assistant General Secretary of Impact Michael Landers believes customers won't need to worry about any more strikes in the next few months.
