The Executive of Clare County Council says it's concerned that the tourist information network is being dismantled bit by bit.
It follows calls by Kilmaley Councillor Tom McNamara to have the Ennis office opened for more than four days a week and later into the evening.
The Fianna Fáil public representative says tourists visiting the town often go for walks in the evening and in the current system are not being catered for.
He says the situation will have detremental consequences
