KIB into All Ireland Final

 Kilmurray Ibrickane have claimed a spot in the All Ireland Club final on March 17th after a 1-14 to 8 point win over Portlaoise this afternoon in Limerick.

The Clare side led at the break by 9 points to 4 after Portlaoise had been reduced to 14 men in the very minute.

A further dimissal for Portaloise in the second half opened the gap for KIb to ease to victory with Noel Downes goai8ling with 17 minutes to go to seal victory.

They will have to wait to see who their opponents will be on st Patrick’s day howver as St galls and Corofin’s semi final was postponed today due to the weather.

In Hurling news and Ger O loughlin had an easy win today in his first game out in the National League as the Banner won by 2-20 to 6 points over Down.

Clare led by 1-12 to 2 points at half time but Down shot 20 wides in game where Mark Flaherty bagged 2-11 of the total.

Howver it was a disappointing day for the county’s lady footbnallers as they lost to Tipperray in meelick today by 1-11 to 1-8.
