With the Clare hurlers already safely into the national hurling league Division 2 Final all eyes this weekend will be on who the Banner wil be playing in next month’s decider.
Wexford are in pole position to qualify but they take on Antrim at home needing just to avoid defeat if they are to book their place in the final while Laois or Carlow also have an outside chance of progressing if they can win by enough and Wexford lose to Antrim.
Ger O Loughlin is set to give a number of his fringe players the chance to impress ahead of the May 2nd Semple Stadium decider against the Lilly whites.
