Saint Senan’s Kilkee had a excellent start to their Senior Football Championship campaign after a 2-12 to 1-08 victory over Cooraclare.
The re fixed First Round Group 2 game was played in Doonbeg yesterday afternoon and Cooraclare played second fiddle to the Kilkee side – Michael o’Shea’s 1 goal and seven points wwas the diffence between the sides
Ennistymon overcame last year’s finalists Liscannor on a tight score line with just 2 points to spare.
The sides were neck and neck at half time with five points apiece – however Enlistment managed to double that score before the final whistle, running out 10 points to 8 winners over Liscannor.
and on Saturday wins for Doonbeg and Kilmurray Ibrickane marked the start of the championship
Doonbeg overcame Lissycasey 1-13 to 3-5 while Kilmurray Ibrickane came from behind at half time to overturn Kilmihil 109 to 0-09. Noel Downes scoring a goal 10 minutes into the second half to seal the win.
