Manchester United remain six points clear at the top of the Premier League after a 3-1 win at home to Sunderland.

Robin van Persie, Tom Cleverly and Wayne Rooney with the goals.

Earlier on Manchester City beat Newcastle 3-1 at St. James’ Park to close the gap to three points.

Christian Benteke (pr: Ben-tek-ay) scored two while Andreas Weimann (pr: Vye-man) got the other for Villa.
