One of Clare’s All Ireland winning heroes is hopeful their success will inspire the next generation of intercounty stars.
11 of the starting 15 in the win over Cork collected their first All Ireland medals, while all bar one of the eight subs introduced were also first time winners.
Seven of the squad were also involved in Clare’s 2013 win over the Rebels, with David McInerney, John Conlon, Shane O’Donnell and Tony Kelly starting both finals.
