Following a packed public meeting in Corofin, in support of rural GPs, Gavin presented a special extended report.
Renowned hurley maker John Torpey joined Gavin in studio to talk about the fact that the GAA is preparing for a scenario where ash hurleys may no longer be used. A 'hybrid' hurley is one option where ash would be moulded onto the báse of the hurley with the remainder made of fibreglass. John also raised concerns about mobile phone coverage in Sixmilebridge, which is so poor he believes it's damaging his business. 
This week, a Clare County Councillor claimed that the number of people living in sub-standard local authority housing has reached crisis point. Councillor Gerry Flynn has accused the council of double standards in the maintenance of council-owned properties. One of those living in a council-owned estate in Shannon is Pat Madden, who spoke to Gavin about his concerns.
Clare Crusaders Children’s Clinic and Clare Tourism teamed up for a special fundraising initiative and Ann Norton of Clare Crusaders joined Gavin in studio alongside Paul Madden of Clare Tourism.
