On today's Morning Focus with John Cooke we heard from Chief Super Intendant John Kerin on a number of issues including security at Shannon Airport following recent international terror attacks, he also discussed the upcoming changes to Garda stations in Lissycasey and Kimihil . Super Intendant Kerin spoke with Clare FM's Aisling O' Rourke. Lissycasey Garda station is to close with the force's base in Kilmilhil set to reopen. We heard from Kilmihil Resident, Martin Keane and Lissycasey Councillor PJ Kelly on the effect these upcoming changes would have on their local community. 

Equality Minister Aodhan O Riordain has said he is confident the provision of two weeks of paid paternity leave will be included in the Family Leave Bill, which is currently being drafted. Patricia Callan of the Small Firms Association has said that if introduced, many companies will face difficulties maintaining staffing. She is urging the government not to introduce new entitlements without discussing the plans with the business community.Orla O'Connor of the National Women's Council of Ireland says currently Ireland is the only EU member state that provides no period of well-paid leave. This will allow parents of new born babies to share care responsibilities. Both Patricia and Orla spoke to John on this issue.

UL Hospitals is calling for people who are interested in volunteering to take part in their patient liaison programme.  Patient liaison volunteers provide assistance to patients and visitors to University Hospital Limerick, Caroline O'Shaughnessy, Patient Liaison Volunteer, UHL and Miriam McCarthy, Patient Liaison Manager, UL Hospitals Group joined John in studio to discuss the programme further.
