On today’s Afternoon Show Máire Moynahan was joined by Aidan Murphy from Headstrong, the National Centre for Youth Mental Health. He discussed the Live Life message of Donal Walsh – the Kerry teenager who sadly passed away last May. Donal made a special appeal to teens who are contemplating suicide or who are feeling depressed to seek help.  Aidan is based on Tralee with headstrong, who are a non-profit organisation supporting young people’s mental health in Ireland. The Jigsaw project, which is part of Headstrong’s programme, brings community services and supports together around young people in order to better meet their mental health needs. Every community is unique; therefore Jigsaw is different in each community. Headstrong works with communities and statutory services to empower young people to develop the skills, self-confidence and resilience to cope with mental health challenges. Their vision is to give every young person in Ireland somewhere to turn to and someone to talk to.  To contact the service please visit www.headtsrong.ie
