On The Afternoon Show today Máire was joined by one of Ireland’s leading lights in comedy – Jason Byrne. Jason was cooped up in the BBC for months this year writing and recording his brand new sitcom ‘Father Figure’. Jason is also the biggest ever-selling act at the Edinburgh fringe festival – He brings his blend of high-energy intelligent lunacy to Glor tomorrow night – Friday Feb 14th.
Clare Rose Marie Donnellan and Henry Healy, President Obama’s cousin from Moneygall also joined the show as a very different 'Take Me Out' will take place this weekend (Saturday Feb 15th at the Inn at Dromoland) to help raise money for Clare Crusaders. The girls will be getting up in front of the boys! The boys will have full power behind the lights! 'The Girls' include nine International Roses from this year’s Rose of Tralee Festival – London, Ottawa, Scotland, Cavan, Monaghan, Tipperary, Donegal, Cork and Kerry. 'The Men' include 24 men from around Clare, escorts from this year’s Rose of Tralee festival, Jonny McGailey (International Escort of the year), Moneygall's Henry Healy and Ennis man Colm Flynn.
