The Afternoon Show – Thursday March 13th 2014

On today’s Afternoon Show Máire spoke to John Kennedy, Editor of Silicon Republic as the World Wide Web celebrated its 25th anniversary yesterday. 25 years after creating the format for what would become the world wide web, Sir Tim Berners-Lee has called for the creation of an online ‘Magna Carta’ or bill of rights that would enshrine the rights of users worldwide. Berners-Lee believes the internet as we know it has come under attack from governments and corporate influence and said that new rules would be needed to protect the “open, neutral” internet we know.

Paul “Calso” Callaghan, our resident Chef, Food Blogger and Author of “Real Food Made Easy” joined us and answered your queries in relation to cheesecake, using ginger and gave tips on cooking the perfect steak and how to help avoid the smell of garlic on your breath! Send your cookery and bakery questions in to us on 53030 or email [email protected] or check out Calso’s blog – www.thesustainablelarder.blogspot.com
