On today’s show Máire was joined by Elaine Cuniffe, from Mental Health Ireland’s Ennis branch. North Clare Mental Health Association is taking part in the North Clare Happiness Project by hosting a free Salsa night taught by Galway dance duo 'Salsa Medics'. The North Clare Happiness Project is a series of events, which promote and support the cultivation of happiness for all. Learn how to look good on the dance floor, keep fit and most importantly have fun. The event will take place on Tuesday the 20/05/14 at 8pm in Ennistymon community centre. Email [email protected] to book your place or call the North West Family Resource Centre on 065 7071144.

Paddy Dunne is a member of Lisdoonvarna Failte and spoke to Máire about how tonight – 14th May, a Public Meeting/Forum will be held in The Pavilion, Lisdoonvarna at 8pm.  The purpose of this is for the community of North Clare to find out more about what's going on in the town and to have their say into future developments and plans.  The North Clare Sports & Amenity Complex, The Pavilion Theatre and the Spa Wells are owned by the community of Lisdoonvarna and surrounding areas.  There are plans afoot to get momentum behind the idea of rejuvenating the Spa Wells and capitalising on Lisdoonvarna's heritage as a health and wellness destination. Lisdoonvarna Failte have recently been nominated for a Pride of Place award.

Aine Bird from Burrenbeo Trust, who are the organisers of the annual Burren in Bloom Festival spoke to the show as we’re heading into week 3 of the month long festival with events attracting all ages for this year’s Burren in Bloom Festival. Aine joined us for a look at this weekend’s events from walks to talks and exhibitions. Check out www.burreninbloom.com
