Clare hurling fans are being asked to adhere to event rules and bring plenty of colour to tonight’s homecoming for the All-Ireland Champions.

The family friendly alcohol free event will commence at 6pm on the fair green at Active Ennis Tim Smyth Park with live music from DJ Ollie Mullooly.

The Clare hurling team along with very special guest Liam McCarthy are expected to make an appearance at around 7.30pm.

Before this Brian Lohan’s men will make a stop at Wolfe Tones Na Sionna GAA Club at 4pm, before continuing onto Clarecastle village at 6pm.

Clare Chief Fire Officer and Event Co-Ordinator Adrian Kelly says it’s vital patrons attend in good time to secure parking as they’re expecting huge crowds.

Meanwhile, Clare’s young fans are being urged to attend the fairgreen as early as possible this afternoon.

Mayor of Clare Councillor Alan O’Callaghan insists as these events don’t come around often, fans young and old must soak in every moment of the atmosphere.
