The manager of Clare Haven is reassuring that services won’t be affected by a reduction in Tusla funding.

It follows the publication of the child and family agency’s annual report earlier this week, which outlined the voluntary organisation obtained 826,000 euro in 2022, a reduction of 33,000 euro on the previous year.

Dr Siobhán O’Connor says the reduction in funding was a result of the removal of covid supports provided during the pandemic.

She says voluntary organisations will always cut their cloth to measure, but insists service users will be able to access the services they need, should they be subjected to domestic abuse.
