Clare will face Cork in the second round of the All Ireland senior hurling qualifiers next Saturday afternoon.

The game has been fixed for the LIT Gaelic Grounds with a 4.30pm start, while Waterford face Galway at 2pm in Semple Stadium in the other qualifier tie.

Should Clare win, they will face Dublin the All Ireland quarter finals.

The Banner booked their spot in this morning’s draw with a 2-25 to 2-22 win over Davy Fitzgerald’s Wexford in Thurles, as a late Gary Cooney goal proved to be the crucial score of the game as Clare ended Wexford’s championship run for the third time in the last four seasons.
